This looks promising. If you like the above trailer you can see the original short film here.

Prop. 8: The Best Thing To Happen For Gay Rights . . . ?
Author: PaulDec 7
Is any publicity good publicity? Perhaps that statement is true as in the past month the backlash about Prop. 8 has been pretty loud. According to Newsweek, it appears that the tide is turning in favor of gay rights, mostly in support of civil unions, but more importantly, in support of basic human rights that should be afforded to everyone in the Union.
In the past four years, the public has become much more tolerant to the idea of gay rights. So much so that polls are showing 10 point gains from the previous poll in 2004.
“Seventy-four percent back inheritance rights for gay domestic partners (compared to 60 percent in 2004), 73 percent approve of extending health insurance and other employee benefits to them (compared to 60 percent in 2004), 67 percent favor granting them Social Security benefits (compared to 55 percent in 2004) and 86 percent support hospital visitation rights (a question that wasn’t asked four years ago).”
That is unprecedented growth, but it gives me hope.
My position on this has always been that one could simply switch out “gay” with “Negro” and realize that we’re still fighting over arbitrary measures of humanity from the 1960’s and before. Meaning, stop being afraid of silly shadows, everything will be alright.
